Landmark Center celebrates 10th anniversary of its Landmark Live concert series

Folk singers Heather Masse and Mary Bue are among the headliners of the Landmark Center’s 10th annual Landmark Live concert series.

Concerts take place the third Friday of each month through December in the Landmark Center’s F.K. Weyerhaeuser Auditorium in downtown St. Paul. Performances begin at 8 p.m. and are preceded by a cocktail hour with a cash bar. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door or $70 for a full-season package.

Concertgoers are required to wear masks and show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of showtime.

The lineup includes:

Heather Masse, Sept. 17: Trained at the New England Conservatory of Music as a jazz singer, New York singer/songwriter Heather Masse is equally versed in folk, pop and bluegrass. She’s also a member of the folk group the Wailin’ Jennys, who have performed at hundreds of venues around the world.

Mary Bue, Oct. 15: Minneapolis-based Mary Bue is a songwriter, Nada yogi, traveler, runner, vegan, retreat guide, music and yoga teacher. Her latest album is “The World Is Your Lover.”

Danny Schmidt, Nov. 19: Texas singer/songwriter Danny Schmidt, who performed at the first Landmark Live, was included in the Chicago Tribune’s list of the “50 Most Significant Songwriters in the Last 50 Years.”

Dan Newton and Friends, Dec. 17: Pat Donohue, Richard Kriehn and Elizabeth Rowan join accordion player Dan Newton. His repertoire includes original and traditional material and draws influences from French musette, Cajun, swing, jug band blues, Celtic and Scandinavian music.
