The August bank holiday Monday is upon us, which for many, means a day off work spent sleeping in, brunching, or even getting on top of those DIY and gardening projects.
People across the country have their fingers crossed that the weather will be good enough to get outdoors and light the barbecue, following an uncharacteristically cold and wet August.
For some, that means a trip to B&Q, Wickes or Argos for essential homewares and gardening kit.
But are any of these three handy stores actually open on over the bank holiday?
Is B&Q open on bank holiday Monday?
B&Q stores will be open on Monday, with regular operating times of 7am until 8pm.
A B&Q spokesperson told Metro.co.uk that: ‘Our stores will remain open across the bank holiday weekend as normal and, as always, customer and colleague safety is our number one priority, so we’re keeping social distancing measures in place to help customers shop safely and ask customers to continue to wear face coverings unless exempt.
‘Customers are also able to place orders online for Click + Collect, as well as home delivery.’
You can check the opening times of your local B&Q by checking their store locator.
