Wagon, hatchback, coupe, sedan, you name it and the manufacturers will make it. But for Porsche, it’s an all-in-one, googly eyed, dream machine, known for a nice sized slice of riding heaven.
Within the VW family, there is Audi, Bentley and of course Porsche, but most importantly, the Panamera is a one of a kind, nonintercompany duplicated vehicle, making it rare when seen, but desirable at any cost.
Manufactured in Leipzig, Germany, we enjoyed the standard 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, producing 325 horsepower and 331 lb.-ft. of torque. Our zero-to-60 time came in at just over 5 seconds. Our Gentian Blue Metallic was a show stopper and a crowd favorite paint color for an additional $840. Although this base model Panamera came in with a base price of $87,000, we really enjoyed what Porsche has to offer in its wide array of vehicles but also options. Standard equipment on the Panamera were comfort access, Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging and a sports steering wheel.
Porsche lovers know that you can always get the base model and most importantly option them right up to your own colored seat belts; way cool if you ask me. Options on our
included rear axle steering, heated steering wheel, 20” turbo wheels, surround view camera, a Sport Chrono Package and the premium interior package, including four-zone climate control, ambient lighting, soft close doors, lane change assist, heated seats and adaptive air suspension. This combined for just over $15,000.
Comfortable to drive, luxurious and sporty all at the same time, the Panamera is storage friendly, people friendly and ride friendly. Its four seats were perfectly fitting, while hugging you in just the right places when acceleration was needed, griping you right to the seat. We rode in sport mode most of the time, but utilized Sport Plus when needed and of course, had the rear spoiler up to show that sporty Porsche ability.
For a wagon, sedan, hatchback, coupe, call it what you want, it is awesome. Fun to drive, an eye-catcher to say the least and most importantly, that specific attention to detail that Porsche delivers on all of its vehicles. Grocery getting, daily driving and comfort for everyone, the Panamera has Grasso’s Garage written all over it.
