Juvenile dies after struck by car in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — Authorities responded to the scene of a vehicle-pedestrian collision in San Jose involving a juvenile.

The collision was reported Friday afternoon near Camden Avenue and Kooser Road.

As of 8:51 p.m., officials said the juvenile died at the hospital.

Southbound Camden Avenue was closed from Kooser Road to Merrill Loop.

San Jose police first reported the incident around 5:51 p.m. and said the juvenile had life-threatening injuries.

The driver is at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Police say they will provide an update once more information becomes available.
