San Francisco police make arrest in stabbing of 94-year-old Asian woman

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) – Police arrested 35-year-old Daniel Cauich after he allegedly stabbed a 94-year-old Asian woman in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Wednesday, police say.

The incident was reported at the 800 block of Post Street around 10:15 a.m. where officers found the victim suffering multiple stab wounds.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, police say.

Officers located Cauich on the 1300 block of Clay Street around 11:45 a.m. and took him into custody.

While an arrest has been made, this remains an open investigation. Officials believe the attack was unprovoked.
