Minnesota United midfielder Hassani Dotson scored two goals to boost the United States’ Olympic qualifying team during a 4-0 win Sunday over Dominican Republic in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Dotson subbed on after halftime and scored in the 73rd and 78th minutes to make it a 3-0 game. Bloomington native and U.S. captain Jackson Yueill scored the opening goal in the 61st and Djordje Mihailovic added the fourth in the 90th.
Dotson stared the first Olympic qualifying game on Thursday and made a near-post run into the box that helped open up the Costa Rica defense for Jesus Ferreira’s goal in the U.S. 1-0 win.
The U.S. will play Mexico in the final group-stage qualifier on Wednesday night.
