Workman at Vikings Lakes residential development shocked, seriously injured

An 18-year-old man was shocked and seriously injured at an Eagan construction site Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The man was holding an electrical cord and stepped in water at the Viking Lakes residential construction site at 700 Vikings Parkway in Eagan. The housing development is associated with the Minnesota Vikings headquarters and practice complex at the site, according to Eagan police Sgt. Rich Evans.

The workman was injured about 1:45 p.m. First responders found him unconscious. He was taken Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
