It’s Christmas Eve Eve, and if you’ve suddenly noticed you might have accidentally tucked into the Christmas treats during your last conference call or you need to top up the Christmas sherry, you might need to dash out to the shops.
Whether it’s for everyday essentials or you’ve got one last thing to get before a few days of festive fun, you’ll need to know when the supermarkets are open to avoid a wasted journey.
Here’s when Aldi is open over the Christmas period…
What are the Aldi opening hours this Christmas?
Christmas Eve: Aldi stores will be open from 7am to 6pm on Christmas Eve.
However this may vary from one branch to the next – and Aldi’s website states that times may be different in Scotland and Wales – so be sure to check the store locator on the Aldi website to see what time your local branch shuts on that day.
Christmas Day: All branches will be closed on Christmas Day.
Boxing Day: This year, Aldi are joining the likes of Asda and closing on Boxing Day.
In a statement, Asda Chief Executive Roger Burnley said: ‘As you know, the strict guidelines set out by the government will change between 23 and 27 December and more households will be able to gather together.
‘This is of course our busiest time of year but it was important for us to give as many of you as possible the opportunity to spend this time with those loved ones that you may not have not seen for many months so, uniquely for this year, we will not reopen our stores until December 27.’
Aldi then reopens on Sunday, December 27 at the shorter opening times of 10am to 4pm.
Monday, December 28 through to December 30, the stores will be open 8am to 8pm, and 8am to 8pm on New Year’s Eve.
